T.H.E. Van Program

What is T.H.E. Van Program?

T.H.E. Van Program (Transportation for Health and Enrichment) provides low-cost transportation for seniors and persons with disabilities to specific, pre-scheduled healthcare related services in Western Nevada County.

Low-cost transportation is provided to specific, qualified health related services
that require multiple visits weekly or monthly (i.e.: cardiac-rehab, outpatient treatments, physical therapy, etc.).

T.H.E Van Program is funded by United Way and The PASCO Foundation and private donations to Gold Country Telecare. All donations to this program are greatly appreciated, not only by Telecare, but by the clients who benefit from this
valuable service.

Where does T.H.E Van Program go?

Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Outpatient Services
Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Cancer Center
Cardiac Rehabilitation at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital
Bowman-Solinsky Therapeutic Pool
and many more medical-related facilities.

Who is eligible for the T.H.E Van Program Services?

Applicants must be residents of Western Nevada County and be a senior (60 or older) or disabled.

Because of limited funds available, each client is individually accessed by the Administrative Director of Gold County Telecare.
Please contact Telecare at
(530) 272-1710 with your request.

How much does a ride with T.H.E Van Program cost?

The cost is the same for our regular rides: $2 within the ADA Corridor and
